There's no file for OpenWRT syslog. Instead, syslog is a fixed size buffer in memory. Use logread to look at syslog:
root@OpenWrt:/# logread -h
logread: invalid option -- h
BusyBox v1.15.3 (2010-11-12 04:24:17 PST) multi-call binary

Usage: logread [OPTIONS]

Show messages in syslogd's circular buffer

Options:
-f	Output data as log grows

To tail the log:
root@OpenWrt:/# logread -f
